Wandering to Mars: 21+ Carnegie Science Center Event

On January 12th, 2024, I visited the Carnegie Science Center for one of their 21+ nights. On this night, the theme was Mars and all things astronomy. These Carnegie Science Center 21+ nights are great for a date night out in the heart of Pittsburgh or a platonic date with friends. At the 21+ night, drinks are provided to purchase along with many different activities and exhibits to look at and learn about. The cost for this event to enter was $25 per person and drinks ranged from $6-$8. Regardless of the price, this is a great place and event that happens monthly to go see and try at least once!

During this event, I was able to see a replica of the International Space Station. The Carnegie Science Center created two modules that were full-scale replicas of the two segments of the ISS. After viewing this replica, many people were able to take pictures in the astronaut’s bunk as well as on the space toilet. It was a great addition to the theme of the night and made many laugh.
